Reporters sans frontiere calls on French Council Presidency for initiatives in favour of freedom of the press in ACP countries

Brussels, 10/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - "Reporters sans frontiere" wrote to President Chirac to draw his attention towards the violations against the free press in seven of the seventy two signatory countries of the new EU/ACP agreement, i.e. according to the organisation: the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Sierra Leon, Malta, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea and Ethiopia.
