The French automotive group RENAULT is looking for a buyer for CAT - COMPAGNIE D'AFFRETEMENT ET TRANSPORTS, its transport and logistics subsidiary. According to La Lettre du transport et de la logistique, three buyers are studying the dossier, i.e. the Dutch post office TPFG associated to AUTOLOGIC and to BRAMBLES, the French railways SNCF and AXIAL. With 18 subsidiaries employing 2,400 people, CAT had a consolidated turnover of FF 7.23 billion in 1999.
