Portuguese Presidency takes stock of situation relating to solutions open to IGC on subject of European Commission and vote weighting

Brussels, 05/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - As we pointed out earlier (see EUROPE of 1 June, p.3), the Portuguese Presidency presented two notes to the IGC on two of the most controversial issues to be settled by negotiators: the European Commission (and mainly its size in an enlarged Union), and vote weighting in the Council.
