The Italian MERLONI ELETTRODOMESTICI (brands "Indesit", "Ariston" and "Scholtes") will acquire Russian white goods manufacturer STINOL for USD 119.3 million. This company holds 40% of the market share in Russia with a consolidated turnover of USD 110 million in 1999. During the first quarter 2000, MERLONI registered consolidated sales of EUR 362.6 million.
