European Commission welcomed results of Istanbul Conference on allocation of radio spectrum

Brussels, 05/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission welcomed this Monday the results of the World Radiocommunications Conference (WRC-2000), which will allow the EU to benefit "from sufficient radio spectrum to allow for further growth of the 3rd generation mobile communications and to rapidly and cost-effectively develop the Galileo projects for satellite navigation."
