London, 05/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The British government selected Nigel Sheinwald as United Kingdom Permanent Representative to the EU, with the rank of Ambassador. He will take up his appointment at the start of September. The present Permanent representative Sir Stephen Wall should be called to head to European Secretariat at the "Cabinet Office", with the task of co-ordinating the European policy of the various British ministries.
