ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) computer technology

The Italian giant OLIVETTI has taken a 45% stake in LOGICASIEL (consultancy and computer services: 60 bn lira turnover in 1999, with 260 employees) from the British firm LOGICA for 52 bn lira. The remaining 55% are in the hands of FINSIEL, group controlled by TELECOM ITALIA recently taken over by OLIVETTI. This operation will lead to LOGICASIEL's name being changed to WEBEGG.
