On Monday, Commission and Presidency expects to discuss Russian proposal to hold conference in Moscow

Brussels, 06/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The proposal made by Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov to organise, in February in Moscow, a meeting of the Steering Committee for multinational talks on peace in the Middle East (which had been deadlocked for three years) will no doubt be discussed on 10 January in Lisbon during the traditional meeting of the European Commission with the EU Council Presidency, said the Commission spokesman's service on Thursday.
