European Commission launches public consultation on prudential requirements for market risk applicable to EU investment banks

22/04/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 22 April, the European Commission announced the launch of a public consultation on a draft delegated act on the prudential framework applicable to investment banks’ market risk ('Fundamental Review of the Trading Book or FRTB) (see EUROPE B13748A23). The draft delegated act proposes targeted changes to the FRTB rules applicable to EU banks, which are to apply from 1 January 2027, in accordance with the Capital Requirements Regulation....
