22/04/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 22 April, the EU Council announced the appointment of German Kirsten Joppe as Head of the European Union Partnership Mission in Moldova (EUPM Moldova). Ms Joppe will take up her post on 25 April, succeeding Romanian Cosmin Dinescu (see EUROPE 13185/33). Since November 2024, Ms Joppe has been EUPM Moldova Deputy Head of Mission and Chief of Staff. Established in April 2023, EUPM Moldova, which has more than 70 permanent staff, aims to strengthen the resilience of the country’s security sector in the areas of crisis management and hybrid threats, including cyber security and the fight against foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI). Her mandate runs until 31 May 2027. (CG)
