European Commission allocates €235 million to support populations affected by crises in West and Central Africa

On Wednesday 22 April, the European Commission announced humanitarian aid worth €235 million to support the most vulnerable populations in West and Central Africa. This funding aims to respond to food crises and poverty, exacerbated by climate change and armed conflict. It will cover basic needs: food, drinking water, health and shelter.
