21/04/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 21 April, the Council of the European Union decided to extend until 29 April 2027 the Union’s restrictive measures against those responsible for actions intended to destabilise, undermine or threaten the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Moldova. These measures currently apply to 23 individuals and 5 entities, whose assets have been frozen. This framework, introduced in April 2023 (see EUROPE 13172/37), also prohibits the provision of funds or economic resources, directly or indirectly, to the persons or entities concerned. A travel ban applies to individuals who have been penalised. (CG)
