Allowing residues of banned pesticides in food imported into Europe could breach EU law, says legal opinion

21/04/2026 (Agence Europe) – A new legal opinion commissioned by PAN Europe, Foodwatch and the Veblen Institute, published on Tuesday 21 April, indicates that the European Commission could be breaching EU law by allowing residues of banned pesticides in imported food.
