EU Council formally rejects European Parliament’s second-reading position on revision of air passenger rights

24/03/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 24 March, the EU Council formally rejected the European Parliament’s second-reading position on the revision of air passenger rights. Following the decision taken the previous week (see EUROPE B13831A19), the EU Council waited until the negotiation meeting on Monday 23 March (trilogue) (see EUROPE B13834A1) to finalise the procedure and sent its letter of rejection.
