ACER amends methodologies for automatic price adjustment under rare electricity market conditions

06/02/26 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday, 4 February, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) approved an amendment of the harmonised maximum and minimum clearing price (HMMCP) methodologies for the EU ‘day-ahead and intraday electricity market’ coupling. A proposal to this effect had been made by the nominated electricity market operators (NEMOs) in August 2025.
