António Costa plans extraordinary European summit in late November to reach agreement on EU’s 2028-2034 budget by end of 2026

30/01/2026 (Agence Europe) – The EU Heads of State or Government will discuss the proposed 2028-2034 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) at their regular meetings in March, June, October and December. An extraordinary European summit could also be held on 26 and 27 November, with the aim of reaching a political agreement on this issue by the end of 2026, as called for by the President of the European Council, António Costa.
