Final green light from European Parliament for first ‘omnibus’ simplification package on CSDDD and CSRD directives

16/12/2025 (Agence Europe) – The provisional agreement reached on 9 December between the European Parliament and the Council of the EU on the ‘omnibus I’ simplification package received the support of the whole European Parliament on Tuesday 16 December. With 428 votes in favour, 218 against and 17 abstentions, MEPs approved this text, which simplifies the CSDDD and CSRD directives on corporate due diligence and sustainability.
