16/12/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 16 December, the Single Resolution Board (SRB) expanded its literature setting out its expectations for bank recovery (see EUROPE 13695/23), the basis for resolution decisions taken by the competent authorities at national and European level in the event of the failure of a major bank within the euro area banking union. In its report, the European authority expands the information required from banks and sets out new expectations for the’data repository for resolution’ and ‘valuation playbooks’. In order to reduce the administrative burden, the SRB is relying on existing European standards wherever possible and is requesting information from standard reports that are already available. Banks will have a transitional phase to adapt their internal capacity to produce the additional data required. To see the SRB report: https://aeur.eu/f/k0m (MB)
