16/12/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 15 December, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) published a final report proposing new regulatory technical standards (RTS) as part of the review of the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation (MiFIR III). These RTS cover the transparency of derivatives transactions, bundled orders and the consolidated tape for OTC derivatives. They introduce new pre- and post-trade transparency requirements, with deferral mechanisms designed to preserve market liquidity. The proposals have been adjusted following feedback from stakeholders, in particular for equity derivatives and single-entity credit default swaps.
