Green light from European Parliament for macro-financial assistance of €500 million for Jordan through 2027

16/12/2025 (Agence Europe) – In a resolution tabled by Céline Imart (EPP, French), the European Parliament endorsed, on Tuesday 16 December, by a large majority (585 votes in favour, 34 against, 45 abstentions) the European Commission’s proposal to grant Jordan a fifth macro-financial assistance package worth €500 million to help the country consolidate its public finances and meet its external financial needs (see EUROPE B13694A22).
