12/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – The European Affairs ministers of the EU Member States will meet on 10 and 11 December in Lviv to discuss Ukraine’s progress towards EU membership. The informal meeting should provide an opportunity to take stock of the results achieved in the search for solutions to move forward Ukraine’s accession process, blocked by Hungary. If the options for moving to qualified majority voting do not appear to have the necessary support from the Member States, Ukraine could informally begin work on clusters of accession negotiation chapters. The ministerial meeting should also provide an opportunity to exchange views on the next steps and to reaffirm political support for Ukraine’s reform and integration efforts. (CG)
