12/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 11 November, the European Court of Auditors unveiled its work programme for 2026, which coincides with the implementation of its new strategy for 2026-2030. In the coming years, priority will be given to auditing areas where the European Union institution can provide greater added value. Four major strategic areas have been identified: competitiveness, defence, climate and the EU’s financial interests. In total, the European auditors are planning 73 audit reports and reviews over the next two years. They will also deliver ten opinions on the proposals for the EU budget for the period 2028-2034.
