12/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission has launched two calls for evidence with a view to revising two regulations relating to product and market safety in the European Union: one on the legislative framework, which defines the general principles of market access, and one on the regulation on market surveillance. The aim is to gather contributions to adapt legislation to an increasingly digital economy: conformity checks, circular economy, reconditioned products, products from third countries, etc. The revision aims to simplify rules, reduce administrative burdens, improve consistency between sectors and strengthen coordination and enforcement of legislation against dangerous or non-compliant products. These two initiatives are open until 4 February 2026. See the initiatives: https://aeur.eu/f/jdt ; https://aeur.eu/f/jdu (IS)
