29/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – After finding that the United States had still not complied with the World Trade Organization (WTO) ruling on discrimination against Spanish olives (see EUROPE 13354/15), WTO judges authorised the EU to apply countermeasures, in a report published on Wednesday 29 October. This could result in the imposition of tariffs on up to US$13.64 million worth of American products over the course of a year. To do this, the EU will have to notify its exact measure to the WTO Dispute Settlement Body, which will have to authorise it. Link to the WTO report: https://aeur.eu/f/j71 (LM)
