The spokesman for the European External Action Service, Anouar El Anouni, urged all parties to continue to respect the ceasefire in Gaza on Wednesday 29 October.
The previous day, Israel had interrupted the ceasefire for several hours, in response, according to the government, to Hamas attacks on its soldiers in the enclave. More than 100 people are thought to have died as a result of the bombing. The ceasefire resumed this Wednesday morning.
