29/10/25 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 29 October, following a meeting with the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the European Council, António Costa, announced that the EU was committed to strengthening bilateral relations between the EU and the United Arab Emirates “through trade, political dialogue and security”. “The UAE are an important and reliable partner for the EU: for the prosperity, stability and security of both our regions and beyond”, the Council explained in a press release. António Costa and Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also discussed global challenges, in particular the situation in Gaza, calling for the swift and full implementation of the peace plan. They also had a “good exchange” on Ukraine, according to the Council. (CG)
