European wine production should reach around 145.5 million hectolitres (Mhl) in 2025, an increase of just 1% on the previous year, according to estimates published on Tuesday by the European Union's agricultural organisations and cooperatives (Copa-Cogeca).
Despite this slight recovery, volumes remain 7.5% below the five-year average and well below 2018 levels, with a deficit of more than 40 Mhl, the organisation noted.
