A new Eurobarometer published on Tuesday 28 October reveals that 75% of Europeans recognise the social economy’s importance for the well-being of society, according to a European Commission press release.
A significant majority are in favour of increased support for the social economy, particularly through support for social economy organisations (88%), awareness-raising (86%), help in setting up social economy organisations (86%) and direct public financial support (80%).
