The Mercosur summit under the Brazilian Presidency will take place later than planned, on 20 December rather than at the very beginning of December. The Mercosur countries are said to have agreed to postpone their summit in order to give the EU time to ratify the agreement and thus have the opportunity to sign it in the presence of the leaders in December.
