European Parliament regrets that Council has still not presented EU’s 2035 target before COP30

On Thursday 23 October in Strasbourg, the European Parliament adopted a resolution ahead of COP30 in Belém (Brazil), calling on the EU to continue to set ambitious goals for its climate policy and to adopt an ambitious target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2035.

The resolution was prepared and approved by the Committee on Environment (ENVI) on 6 October (see EUROPE B13725A18).
