European Commissioner Hadja Lahbib announces €800,000 to support Philippines hit by monsoons

06/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Saturday 4 October, the European Commissioner for Equality, Crisis Preparedness and Management, Hadja Lahbib, announced the mobilisation of €800,000 in aid from the European Union to support the populations worst affected by the tropical cyclones that recently shook the Philippines. “The past weeks have been difficult for the Philippines, with several tropical cyclones hitting the country and worsening monsoon rains”, said Ms Lahbib on the X.
