European Commission holds last-minute meeting with TikTok ahead of elections in Czech Republic

With the legislative elections in the Czech Republic taking place this Friday 3 October, the European Commission announced that it had organised an emergency meeting with TikTok, following concerns expressed by the country’s authorities.

As with the Romanian elections, the platform is suspected of not doing enough to meet its obligations under the DSA and protect the democratic process from the risks of disinformation (see EUROPE B13628A6).
