Following an urgent debate in Strasbourg on Thursday 2 October, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a Resolution calling for “an urgent end to the devastating humanitarian catastrophe and the killing of journalists in Gaza”.
The text was adopted by 85 votes in favour, 41 against and 2 abstentions, with the vast majority of MEPs opposed coming from the EPP, the European Conservatives, Patriots & Affiliates (CEPA) and the Non-attached Members.
