European Commission has earmarked €111 million for Mayotte and La Réunion following cyclones

On Friday 3 October, the European Commission proposed granting €110.8 million from the European Union Solidarity Fund to help the French outermost regions of Mayotte and La Réunion recover from the effects of the cyclones that hit them in December 2024 and February 2025 respectively.

Of this amount, €89.6 million euros will be allocated to Mayotte and €21.2 million to La Réunion. These territories had already received an advance of €24 million for Mayotte and €5 million...
