Unequal progress has been made in implementing ‘European Declaration on Cycling’, according to European Commission

Unequal progress has been made in implementing the commitments set out in each of the eight chapters of the ‘European Declaration on Cycling’, concluded the European Commission in its report published on Tuesday 30 September.

Adopted in April 2024 (see EUROPE B13383A8), the declaration recognises cycling as a sustainable, accessible and affordable means of transport with high added value for the EU economy. It includes clear commitments, such as safe and coherent cycle networks in towns...
