01/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – During a visit to Tunisia on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 October, Commissioner Dubravka Šuica is expected to announce three cooperation agreements worth a total of €60 million, a European source told Agence Europe. These agreements will support food security and the economic empowerment of women in rural areas, finance the digitisation of public administration and help Tunisia to participate in European programmes such as Horizon Europe, Erasmus+ and Creative Europe, thereby strengthening links between Tunisian and European researchers, students and young people, according to this source. The visit will also be an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the EU and Tunisia and to discuss the Pact for the Mediterranean, which is due to be presented on 16 October. As this year marks the 30th anniversary of the EU-Tunisia Association Agreement, the Association Council will be held on 28 October. (CG)
