EU High Representative denounces incident between Chinese frigate and German EUNAVFOR ASPIDES aircraft in early July

In a written reply to MEP Petra Steger (PfE, Austrian), dated Tuesday 30 September, EU High Representative Kaja Kallas explained that on 2 July this year, a Chinese frigate had fired a laser at a German aircraft taking part in the EUNAVFOR ASPIDES operation and carrying out a routine reconnaissance flight over the Gulf of Aden.
