The Council of the European Union adopted its position on the End-of-Life Vehicles (ELV) Regulation at a meeting of EU environment and climate ministers in Luxembourg on Tuesday 17 June. A ‘general approach’ based on the compromise proposed by the Presidency of the Council of the EU was unanimously approved by the Member States, despite some persistent differences of opinion.
