17/06/2025 (Agence Europe) – MEPs approved by a large majority the resolution and recommendation by Karin Karlsbro (Renew Europe, Swedish) supporting the non-renewal of the EU/Cameroon Voluntary Partnership Agreement on timber. This partnership came into force in 2011 and enables Cameroon to issue FLEGT licences, certifying that the timber has been harvested, processed and exported in accordance with the country’s laws.
