08/05/2025 (Agence Europe) – In response to a request from the European Commission, the ‘European Financial Reporting Advisory Group’ (EFRAG) submitted its Endorsement Advice on IFRS 18 Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Reporting, on Tuesday 6 May. IFRS 18 aims to improve the usefulness of the information presented and published in the financial statements, by taking into account the comments of stakeholders, in particular users, who are asking for better information on the financial performance of companies. In its endorsement advice, EFRAG concluded that IFRS 18 meets the technical criteria for endorsement, is not contrary to the principle of true and fair view and that its adoption would be conducive to the European public good. EFRAG therefore recommends its endorsement. To read EFRAG’s Endorsement Advice: https://aeur.eu/f/gpi (Original version in French by Anne Damiani)
