April 2025 is second warmest April on record, according to Copernicus

08/05/25 (Agence Europe) – April 2025 was the second warmest April on record globally (after 2024), according to the monthly bulletin from the European Commission’s climate change observatory, Copernicus Climate Change Service. The average surface air temperature was 14.96°C, which is 0.60°C higher than the average for April for the period 1991-2020. The 12-month period between May 2024 and April 2025 was 0.70°C above the 1991-2020 average and 1.58°C above pre-industrial levels.
