European Parliament’s political groups postpone deciding whether to create committee of inquiry to look into European Commission’s funding of NGOs

On Thursday, 8 May, the Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament’s political groups opted to postpone deciding whether to create a committee of inquiry to look into the European Commission’s funding of NGOs. 

The ECR group, which had originated the request, had gathered the 180 MEP signatures needed to establish a committee of inquiry (see EUROPE B13613A20).
