08/04/25 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 7 April, the European Union released the ‘EUCDM 7.0’ customs data model, designed to standardise and harmonise the legal requirements for customs data across the EU’s trans-European and national systems. This model should streamline customs procedures, enhance customs data efficiency and facilitate seamless trade operations. Major sections are now available in English, French and German. The representation of legal requirements for customs data has been enhanced. The mappings have been updated and are now aligned with World Customs Organization Data Model version 4.1, ensuring consistency with international standards. The EUCDM also includes a new functionality enabling the simulation of future changes in legal requirements for data. Finally, the datasets can be downloaded in XML format.
