08/04/2025 (Agence Europe) – March 2025 was the warmest March on record in Europe, according to the monthly bulletin from the European Commission’s climate change observatory, Copernicus Climate Change Service, published on Tuesday 8 April. The average temperature on the continent reached 6.03°C, 2.41°C above the March average for the period 1991-2020. Warm anomalies were observed in Eastern Europe and south-west Russia, while the Iberian Peninsula experienced colder-than-normal temperatures. Particularly wet conditions in southern Europe, especially Spain, led to extensive flooding, while drier weather was recorded from the UK to the Black Sea.
