08/04/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 7 April, the Council of the European Union adopted a €40 million ‘European Peace Facility’ assistance measure for Moldova. According to the legal act associated with this decision, published on 8 April in the Official Journal of the EU, the aim of this measure is to help strengthen the military and defence capabilities of the Republic of Moldova's armed forces through the supply of non-lethal equipment, mobility equipment and command and control equipment. The assistance measure also finances related supplies and services, including technical training, if required. This is the sixth EPF decision for the Moldovan armed forces, totalling €177 million.
