EU to provide €41 million to Southern Africa and Indian Ocean regions in 2025

08/04/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 8 April, the European Commission announced the allocation of an initial €41 million in humanitarian aid in 2025 for the Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean regions facing natural disasters and conflicts. Seventeen million will be mobilised in Mozambique to deal with the consequences of tropical cyclones Chido, Dikeledi and Jude, which hit the country between December 2024 and March 2025.
