26/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 26 March, the European Commission concluded its public consultation on the future EU strategy for startups and scaleups. According to a preliminary assessment, the key areas highlighted by respondents are facilitating access to finance, markets, talent, infrastructure and services, as well as reducing regulatory and bureaucratic burdens. The Commission is also analysing the contributions of the new ‘European Startups and Scaleups Forum’ and the Board and Forum of the European Innovation Council (EIC). The aim is “to create a more supportive environment for startups and scaleups, driving innovation and competitiveness across the EU”, said Ekaterina Zaharieva, the Commissioner responsible for Startups, Research and Innovation. The ‘European Startup and Scaleup Strategy’ will be presented at the end of May. (AD)
