26/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 27 March, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, will chair the 20th EU-Central Asia ministerial meeting in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, in the presence of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. This meeting, initially scheduled for 4 March (see EUROPE 13595/14), will prepare for the first EU-Central Asia Summit in Samarkand (3-4 April) and will address issues such as the regional impact of the war in Ukraine, transport, digital connectivity and energy. Ms Kallas will hold bilateral talks with Turkmen and Tajik officials. She will then travel to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan for high-level meetings with their leaders and foreign ministers. (PLD)
