06/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 6 March, the members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs approved, by 65 votes to none with three abstentions, a draft recommendation to support the agreement to enhance cooperation between the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation, Eurojust, and the competent authorities of Bosnia-Herzegovina. The agreement sets out the conditions for this collaboration, including the possibility of exchanging classified information in a secure and confidential manner. The agreement also enables both Bosnia-Herzegovina to send a liaison prosecutor to Eurojust and Eurojust to second a liaison magistrate to the country. Eurojust can also support the creation of joint investigation teams between EU Member States and Bosnia-Herzegovina. A vote on the proposal is scheduled for the plenary session from 31 March to 3 April. The draft report: https://aeur.eu/f/frg (NP)
