06/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 6 March, the European Commission and the European Investment Bank Group announced the signing of a €2 billion guarantee under the Ukraine Facility to support the country’s reconstruction and resilience. The agreement also supports urgent reconstruction projects in Ukraine. The funding will focus on essential infrastructure, particularly in the areas of energy, transport, housing, water and heating, in order to maintain essential services and economic stability. In addition, an agreement signed between the EIB and the Ukrainian government provides for the deployment of experts under the EIB’s JASPERS consultancy programme to speed up the implementation of projects on the ground.
